Marja Vongerichten is the host of PBS’s “Kimchi Chronicles,” which airs in the US as well as internationally. She is also the author of a companion cookbook “Kimchi Chronicles: Korean Cooking for an American Kitchen.” Along with her husband, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Marja opened a Korean barbeque restaurant named “Chi-Q” in Shanghai, China in 2014. Chi-Q won “Best Korean Restaurant of 2014 Shanghai Best 50” award by Shanghai WOW, and recognition as “The Top 12 Things We Ate in Shanghai in 2014” on Time Out website. Marja has her own brand of pop up Korean restaurant called “Kimchi Goddess,” that she features in colleges and universities, such as American University in Washington, DC, in partnership with ARAMARK, Inc. Marja has created her own line of Korean food products, “Marja’s Original,” which will soon be on the international market for sale. Marja has helped to introduce Korean food and culture to America.
